Thermometer is an application for determining the temperature and humidity of air in the street. The program provides a minimum of information. The amount of precipitation, wind strength and other indicators it does not determine. In the main window, next to the image of an old-school thermometer, only degrees and a percentage of humidity are displayed. Note that for the application to work correctly, it needs access to the current location for the user. From the settings there is only the ability to choose degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Principle of operation
Despite the statement of the developers that their offspring determines temperature and humidity, the Thermometer works slightly on a different principle. Instead of determining the weather on the street in the area where the user is located, the program simply displays the current forecast. This has been tested by many users. Therefore - in the room the application will not work. In fact, we are faced with a kind of replacement for the “physical” thermometer, which is mounted near the window.
In our humble opinion, instead of this application, it would be more rational to install more advanced solutions like Yandex Weather and get complete information about weather conditions - current and future. However, the Thermometer can be safely recommended to those who need a minimum of information about the situation outside the window.
- displays data collected from weather forecasts;
- does not work indoors for the aforementioned reason;
- contains the minimum number of settings;
- requires access to geolocation services
- makes errors in determining weather indicators and coordinates.
